Our Church History
As of 2022 D.P.O.M. Has become a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Church
Prior to founding Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry, Pastor Timothy Sutton was the pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Anderson, South Carolina for ten years when the Lord spoke to him and told him to plant the seed for Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry.
During a series of meetings at The Dream Center, the foundation for Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry began to flourish with a handful of people. Pastor Sutton began teaching those in attendance, an eight-week Bible study course which is required to become a full-fledged member of Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry.
Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry's first service was held on June 7, 2015 at the West End Hall, Easley, SC with 75 people in attendance.
Attendance continued to grow and our first service was held first Sunday of December 2015, Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry relocated to its present location on 103 West C. Ave., Easley, South Carolina.
On Sunday, June 5, 2016, Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry celebrated its first anniversary service with 179 people in attendance. A celebratory dinner was also held that day with great success.
Membership has continued to increase and God has blessed us greatly this year. We will continue to seek God’s provisions for Divine Purpose Outreach Ministry.
